Here are some tips to help make your time the most productive it can be.

Guitarists
Don't put new strings on on the day of the session, they will go out of tune during the day. remember to bring spares though, and any amps/cables/tuners you use.

Drummers
Try and tune your drums before the day of the session. Also try and alleviate any rattles on the kit if possible.

Bass players
See guitarists, although note we usually record bass DI through some nice electronics to make it sound great so an amp isn't essential.

Singers
Try and warm up a few hours before the session. Do it gently and it'll improve your takes no end. Also remember -avoid Caffeine, Alchohol and smoking (you shouldn't be smoking at all if serious about singing). This will help your voice if you can manage this for the 24 hours before recording.

general
Remember to bring everything you need. All amps, drums, instruments, lyrics, food and anything you *might* need,- Bring it. There's no phone at the studio, and very little mobile signal.

You need to update to Internet Explorer 7 as there is a bug with previous versions, or even better use firefox or opera or pretty much any other browser.

Used Whisperroom 10.5 x 7ft x 7ft Isolation Booth - We imported this booth from america a few years ago and it has been used in the studio ever since. A non-smoking environment and light in-situ use means it's in very good condition. We've customised it further with extra panels containing Rockwool to make it very much more soundproof than the standard unit.

It is lockable and has airvents with fans (all soundproofed with baffles) and cable channels built in to some of the walls.

Please note you need a room a few feet bigger in every dimension to fit this into as otherwise it's impossible to assemble.

We carry out all kinds of work, from meticulously produced recordings in the studio, to recording live on location to capture that rocking live sound. We also do voice-over work for all kinds of applications from phone lines to self-help and relaxation CDs.

I have been working in digital audio for over ten years now and have produced critically acclaimed mixes for not only my band but also many other artists of varying styles. I specialise in rock/folk/jazz/indie - generally the more acoustic side of stuff - and can help with production, composition and playing piano/guitar (to a certain degree, and I will require a proper credit listing) and also general industry advice with how to push your music forward. I also co-run the Lowender festival with Keith from 21st century entertainments.

Our flat studio rate is £15 per hour. This includes engineer and 1 master CD copy to take away.

We are however running a deal whereby you can hire the studio + engineer for £80 for an 8 hour day. During this period rates will be capped at £80 per day, - so if you want to book 6 hours don't worry you'll only be charged £80.
